Superintendent's 5K

Join the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation for the 11th annual run/walk and family fun day dedicated to promoting health and wellness in Miami-Dade County. Participants include children, parents and guardians, teachers and administrators representing over 200 M-DCPS schools. Proceeds from 5K race registrations benefit participating schools. Since 2008, the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation (formerly the Foundation for New Education Initiatives) has brought tens of thousands of families together at the Superintendent’s 5K. In 2025, 242 schools and 7,069 runners and walkers participated in the Superintendent’s 5K. Over the past decade, participation has increased 250%. Awards go to overall male and female runners and runners categorized by age group. With your help, we can make the 2026 Superintendent’s 5K event the best one yet!

Climate change threatens everything on our planet. CLEO is fighting to protect the people and places we love… but we can’t do it without you. This Earth Day 5K supports fearless education, fearless advocacy, fearless empowerment, and fearless protection for the planet we share. Every dollar raised will: Empower Resilient Women by training women in marginalized communities to prepare for and recover from extreme weather, with tools for food security and home resilience. Expand genCLEO’s Youth Network by mobilizing the next generation of climate leaders who are already shaping policy and community change across Florida… and soon, across the nation. Advance Climate Advocacy & Campaigns by turning apathy into action and awareness into policy wins, from extreme heat protection to energy justice.
